Another Year of Learning!

October 23, 2013

Grade Five students at Evergreen Elementary School have had a busy start to their year.

Along with the usual subjects and activities, we have been working with Christopher Lees and Robyn Anderson as part of the John Muir Award project. Each grade five class has explored walking and cross-country ski trails, and will develop geocaching points for them. Truly amazing!

Mrs. Kotyk has taken the lead in Mathematics, and has planned a variety of exciting events, including attending and then planning a Math Fair. Watch for more details! To prepare for these, students have been challenged with math puzzles and will soon share their thinking with Grade Two students in our school.

Although I have begun the blog for our grade five students, be sure to check back often and read what students have written, too.
On the Pembina Community trails, scouting out locations for our geocaches.
